What is the Pharmaceutical Society of Estonia (EPS)?

The Pharmaceutical Society of Estonia (EPS) was established in 1950 and is therefore the oldest and longest-operating pharmaceutical organization in Estonia. EPS carries the traditions of Estonian pharmacy and connects different generations within the profession.

With the societal changes in the early 1990s, a number of new organizations emerged within the pharmaceutical field, and EPS’s activities declined. In 2011, it was decided that the time was ripe to revive the society’s active operations, and at the general meeting held in June, a new 6-member board was elected. Over the following year, more than 100 members renewed or joined the society.

EPS is the most open pharmaceutical professional organization in Estonia. The society’s goal is to unite people in the pharmaceutical field to develop the profession and contribute to pharmaceutical and health policy.
